Chinuch Affirmation Drive

For over a decade New York Yeshivas have been under attack. The ultimate goal of the attack is to force Yeshivas to implement a curriculum similar to that of the public schools. Recently a few anonymous (unnamed) individuals started a lawsuit claiming that the State Department of Education has not been strict enough with New York’s Yeshivas and demanding that the Court nullify all laws and regulations that create rules specifically for Yeshivas. Even worse, the lawsuit was filed as a class action in the name of all of the over 100,000 students currently attending Yeshiva boys and girls schools and everyone who attended a Yeshiva school within the last five years.

Prominent lawyers warned that the class action aspect of the case is extremely dangerous because if the anonymous plaintiffs are allowed to represent the interests of all Yeshiva boys, girls, and parents, the entire Yeshiva education system could be destroyed. To prevent this, we need all parents to speak out and inform the Court that they oppose these anonymous plaintiffs attempting to represent Yeshiva children and parents. Therefore, a massive Affirmation Drive has been initiated to enable each and every parent (in just two minutes) to complete an affirmation to oppose the class action and the case in general.

It cannot be stated in strong enough words that we need as many parents as possible to complete an affirmation. The lawyers want to present the Court with affirmations from an overwhelming majority of Yeshiva parents. Remember not submitting an affirmation is a silent agreement to the lawsuit and the attack against all Yeshivas.
